The timing belt may degrade due to aged engine oil. If left unrepaired it may result in a reduction or a loss of braking performance.

2015–2017 CITROEN C4 (B7), C4 CACTUS

The braking system’s power assistance may be lost or reduced. This is due to a reduction of available vacuum in the system due to degradation of the timing belt if affected by aged engine oil.

As a result of excessive movement and vibration, the fuel pipes under the vehicle may become damaged, resulting in a diesel fuel leak.
