Defect

The power liftgate control module may experience a corrosion induced high resistance short circuit in the power liftgate module electrical connector(s).

Hazard

The power liftgate module electrical connector(s) could allow water intrusion and cause the module to become inoperative and/or cause a fire.

Remedy

FCA Australia will notify vehicle owners who can take their vehicle to a Jeep dealership whereby the vehicle will be repaired
