Defect

Under some special conditions of use, upon instrument panel switch-on, the hands free control unit could cause the failed disengagement of the electronic steering lock.

Hazard

There is a chance the engine can be started while the electronic steering lock is still activated.

Remedy

Ducati will write to owners of affected vehicles. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Ducati Dealer to arrange for an update of the ECU software, free of charge.
