Defect

The intercooler sleeve may detach from the throttle body, causing an engine warning light to be illuminated and a loss of power to the vehicle.

Hazard

If the vehicle unexpectedly suffers a loss of power, it could increase the risk of an accident and injury to a vehicle occupant or other road users. In the event of a serious accident this may result in death.

Remedy

FCA Australia will notify owners of affected vehicles who can then schedule a service booking with their nearest Fiat Professional dealer. The dealer will replace the existing metal band with a new one that has features to ensure the hold between intercooler and throttle body.
