Category: Heavy Vehicle ยท Supplier: Hino Motor Sales Australia
Recall date: 29 April 2017
The parking brake lever may not engage correctly when the lever is pulled up because the teeth in the ratchet mechanism may balance on the tooth tops.
The contact may be released by vibration, potentially causing the lever to be released due to inadequate spring force inside the ratchet mechanism and the vehicle may start to move, posing an accident hazard.
Owners will be contacted by direct mail. Owners should return their vehicle to an authorised Hino dealer for inspection and repair.
