Defect

Holden has initiated a vehicle safety recall on certain Holden Cruze 1.4 Litre turbo petrol engines due to a potential for spilt oil to pool on the lower air deflector.

Hazard

Potential fire hazard. In affected vehicles, if the pooled oil encounters an ignition source such as hot engine parts, the exhaust manifold or catalytic converter, it may ignite.

Remedy

Contact the nearest Holden dealer for a free inspection of the vehicle and rectification of the problem if necessary.
