Defect

In certain circumstances the driveshaft could fail and separate at the centre bearing, disabling the vehicle.

Hazard

In the event of a driveshaft failure, there is potential for parts to fall onto the road, which may cause an accident hazard to other road users.

Remedy

Mack Trucks Australia will write to owners of all affected vehicles. Owners should contact their closest authorised Volvo Group Australia repairing dealership to arrange for inspection and repair as soon as possible, at no charge.
