Category: Light Vehicle ยท Supplier: Nissan Motor Co. (Australia) Pty Ltd
Recall date: 2 December 2014
The fuel pressure sensor of some vehicles may be insufficiently tightened to the fuel rail, and may loosen gradually due to heat and vibration of the engine. In some cases, fuel leakage may occur between the fuel pressure sensor and the fuel rail.
If the defect occurs, and in the presence of external ignition source, there is a possibility of a fire hazard.
Owners of vehicles within the affected VIN range will be advised to contact their Nissan Dealer to arrange for the fuel pressure sensor to be inspected and where necessary re-tightened. The rectification will be at no cost to owners. Nissan Australia's intent is for this Recall Campaign to commence in January 2015.
