Defect

The headlight cleaning pump may affect the washer fluid level sensor.

Hazard

If the deviation occurs, the driver may not get any information on the instrument panel when the washer fluid level is low. This deviation is in non-compliance with the Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989, ECE R45.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by letter. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Volvo dealer to have the washer pump upgraded with a protective sleeve.
