Category: Heavy Vehicle · Supplier: PACCAR AUSTRALIA PTY. LTD.
Recall date: 3 September 2021
The prime mover air brake system may not comply with the Australian Design Rule (ADR). In the event of a total trailer air brake system air loss, the prime mover and trailer brakes will automatically apply, increasing the risk of losing control of the vehicle.
If this occurs it may result in a loss of vehicle control, which would increase the risk of a crash and injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users. This would also be non-compliant with ADR35/06.
Owners will be contacted and advised to make an immediate appointment with their nearest PACCAR Australia DAF dealer to arrange for a technician to inspect and repair the vehicle. For more information, owners can contact their nearest PACCAR Australia DAF dealer. Visit https://www.daf.com.au/findadealer/ to find your nearest dealer.
