Defect

When the vehicle is frequently accelerated and decelerated quickly on severely corrugated roads that specifically feature large numbers of cattle grid crossings, the rear tailshaft centre bearing brackets may detach.

Hazard

In the worst case scenario, the propeller shaft could detach from the vehicle.

Remedy

All owners of affected vehicles will receive a Recall Notification Letter. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Toyota Dealership for inspection and rectification.
