Defect

The fuel suction tube assembly is located in the fuel tank and incorporates the fuel pump and wiring power supply. The fuel pump wire harness insulation has insufficient flexibility and over time the internal connector may move resulting in wear and poor electrical contact.

Hazard

The engine may not start or may stall while driving due to a loss of fuel pressure.

Remedy

All owners of affected vehicles will receive a Recall Notification Letter. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Toyota Dealership for inspection and replacement of the fuel pump wire harness.
