Defect

There are two defects to be remedied: (1) The left side of the driver’s side seat slide mechanism may not lock as intended and may allow the driver's seat to move forward in a severe accident. (2) The rear door may become unlatched in the event of a severe side impact.

Hazard

(1) In the event of a severe frontal impact, the driver’s left side seat rail mechanism may not function as intended, possibly resulting in serious injury to the occupant. (2) In the event of a severe side impact, the rear door locks may not function as intended, possibly resulting in serious injury to the occupant.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by letter.
