Defect

There may be issues with some SRS electronic control units (ECU) producing excessive electrical noise. Overtime, this this may damage the SRS ECU unit and could result in an airbag deployment signal being issued without a crash.

Hazard

If an airbag deploys inadvertently while driving, it may distract the driver, increasing the risk of an accident.

Remedy

A letter will be sent to affected owners. Owners are advised to contact their authorised dealership for rectification.
