Category: Light Vehicle · Supplier: BMW Group Australia Ltd
Recall date: 3 January 2020
Due to an incorrectly routed section of the wiring harness, the transmission wiring harness may short circuit and shift the transmission into the neutral gear.
The vehicle may suddenly stop and lose power to the wheels, causing the transmission to enter the emergency program and engage the parking lock when the vehicle is restarted. This may lead to an increased risk of accident and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.
