Defect

High stress may cause a propogating fatigue crack and breakage of the right hand front driveshaft.

Hazard

If the defect occurs, the driver will notice noise and loss of drive. If the vehicle comes to a stop unexpectedly, it may pose a hazard to the driver and other road users.

Remedy

A letter is being sent to affected owners. Please contact your local Volvo dealership to arrange for a replacement of the right hand drive shaft.
