Defect

The steering pivot joint bolts may not meet manufacturing specifications and may become loose. If the joint becomes loose the steering may deviate from its desired trajectory.

Hazard

If the steering deviates from its desired trajectory it may increase the risk of collision, which could result in injury or death of vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
