The right side power liftgate pinch sensor may not function as intended, resulting in an increase in force required to stop the power liftgate during the final closing stages.
Failure of the liftgate sensor may cause personal injury in the event of users or by-standers placing their hands or fingers in the liftgate opening.
A letter is being sent to affected owners. Alternatively, consumers can contact their Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge distributor/dealer to schedule a service appointment at their convenience.
