The label with the required safety information and instructions may not have been affixed to the vehicle jack as required. This may result in inappropriate use of the vehicle jack.
If the vehicle jack is used inappropriately, the raised vehicle may fall. This would increase the risk of serious injury or death to anyone under or near the vehicle. The supplied jack may not be compliant with the mandatory standard for vehicle jacks, AS/NZS 2693:2007.
Owners can contact their local Kia dealership to schedule an appointment to have their Vehicle Jack inspected for the correct label, free of charge.
