Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the steering coupling may not be tightened to specifications. This could cause the steering coupling to detach from the steering shaft causing a loss of vehicle control.

Hazard

A loss of vehicle control will increase the risk of an accident which may potentially cause injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles can contact their most convenient Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.
