Due to a manufacturing defect, the front seat frame may have been incorrectly welded. As a result, the welded connection could fracture and impair the restraint function of the seat.
In an event of an accident, an impaired restraint function of the front seat could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.
Owner/s of affected vehicle should immediately contact their preferred authorised BMW dealer to have the front seat frame inspected and repaired, free of charge.
