Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, small cracks may form in the suspension rail when towed on rough (corrugated) roads. As a result, the suspension may collapse. If this occurs, it may lead to a sudden loss of control of the caravan.

Hazard

A loss of caravan control could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

Remedy

Owners should cease using their caravan in harsh environments that may contain extensive road corrugations until repairs have been completed. Fleetwood Australia will contact affected owners in writing, outlining the procedure to have the rectification carried out, free of charge.
