Defect

The adjusting rod used to operate the vehicle jack is of incorrect specification and may not function as intended.

Hazard

There is no safety hazard and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle. Vehicles may not be compliant with the Australian Standard AS 2693-2007 and the jack cannot be used for wheel removal.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles are asked to contact GWM Dealer to have the vehicle jack adjusting rod replaced, free of charge. In the event of tyre failure whilst driving prior to the rectification work being conducted, contact GWM roadside assistance service to assist.
