Category: Light Vehicle · Supplier: MERCEDES-BENZ AUSTRALIA/PACIFIC PTY LTD
Recall date: 15 July 2024
Due to a manufacturing issue, a retaining screw between the vehicle’s electrical wiring and the fuse box located in the front passenger footwell may not have been tightened sufficiently. As a result, the vehicle may experience a loss of propulsion whilst driving. In addition, electrical resistance in the wiring could increase resulting in a vehicle fire.
A loss of propulsion whilst driving and/or a vehicle fire could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and/or damage to property.
Owners are asked to contact their most convenient Mercedes-Benz retailer to have the work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.
