Defect

The jack provided with the vehicle may not include a base plate. The jack does not comply with the mandatory standard for vehicle jacks (Consumer Protection Notice No.1 of 2010) Consumer Product Safety Standard for Vehicle Jacks.

Hazard

The vehicle jack may collapse while in use, causing serious injuries or death.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz in writing, requesting you to schedule an appointment with your authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge. Alternatively, please use the Mercedes-Benz online booking service. www.mercedes-benz.com.au/servicebooking
