Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the left and right side curtain airbag inflators may unexpectedly rupture.

Hazard

If airbag inflator ruptures, compressed gas and metal fragments may be propelled through the airbag cushion towards the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised RAM dealer to have the vehicle inspected and if necessary replace both airbag inflators, free of charge.
