Defect

Due to a software issue with the Electronic Management System (EMS), the vehicle may release air pollutants that exceed the standards set in Australian Design Rule.

Hazard

There is no safety hazard associated with this recall and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Scania Australia asking them to schedule an appointment with their local dealership to have software updated, free of charge.
